Master and Margarita on Friday the Thirteenth

…I am a part of that force, that eternally wishes evil and eternally does good…
Professor Woland has the honor to invite you to the traditional ball in honor of the Master and Margarita on Friday, the 13th. The novel "Master and Margarita" has a complex staging fate. It seems that this book is cursed, and all attempts to stage it on stage or adapt it to film inevitably end in failure. Over the past fifty years, the aura of the "bad novel" has been dispelled only by the chief director of the Taganka Theater, Yuri Lyubimov, the author of the TV series Valery Bortko, and oddly enough, the club XIII, which in 1999 held a costume party "inspired by" the "Master and Margarita." This party, which amazed the guests of XIII at the time, is still remembered by club Moscow today. Back then, club visitors faced the characters of Mikhail Bulgakov and were able to communicate freely with the Master, Pontius Pilate, Stepa Likhodeev, Koroviev, Margarita, and Woland himself. The spicy, mystical atmosphere of Bulgakov's novel was best perceived in the old mansion on Myasnitskaya, and for a long time afterward, the magical whiff of this story enveloped XIII. In 2006, "Master and Margarita" returns to the public on the most mystical night of the year, Friday the Thirteenth. Club XIII and Professor Woland invite you to the ball in honor of the Master and Margarita.
Transforming magically and for one night only, the old mansion on Myasnitskaya will turn into a shining hall, where Margarita herself will greet honored guests on the grand staircase. The king of waltzes, Johann Strauss, and his orchestra of ghosts will perform the ceremonial overture. The lord and his entourage will take their place in the throne room. At exactly midnight, the fountains with champagne will start working, and the Great Ball of Woland will begin…
The queen is amazed! We are amazed...
