Master class by Wolfgang Voigt

On April 19th at Khokhlovsky Manufacture (Khokhlovsky per. 7), in a building that was constructed about 400 years ago, a mega event will take place - the Red Bull Music Academy party. Here, the head of the Cologne empire Kompakt, one of the pioneers of minimal techno Wolfgang Voigt (Studio1, Gas) will perform live for the third time in the past 12 years, along with Mister Modernist (also known as Jorg Burger). This is a big stroke of luck as he had previously turned down all offers and was impossible to book anywhere. Also performing at the party will be two other giants of modern music: Thomas Fehlmann (Plug Research, Kompakt) and Om'Mas Keith (Sa-Ra Creative Partners, New York). The former is known for his work with Kompakt, while the latter is known for his label Hollywood recordings and collaborations with J Dilla, Erykah Badu, Thalib Kwali, and Kayne West. Also performing: Andriesh (Moscow, live), Mujuice (Moscow, live), Roman Rosic/Belk (Moscow, live), Anrilov (Moscow, dj-set), Cross (Moscow, dj-set), Flammable Beats (Moscow, dj sets). During the day, at the Shanti restaurant, there will be an info session by the Red Bull Music Academy - a meeting that peeks behind the curtain of the Academy's mystery. Music scene legends Wolfgang Voigt (Studio1, Mike Ink, Gas) and Joerg Burger (The Modernist, Triola, Burger Industries), founders of the world's largest techno distributor Kompakt, will talk about the history of the eponymous label, how the Delirium label was created, later renamed Kompakt, and about minimalism in techno music.
