Master Class on Musical Madness.

Four years ago, the energy drink Red Bull decided to organize a special forum for DJs. For Red Bull, this was by no means their first experience in organizing such crazy events. The famous "Flugtag" in the USA, championships in backcountry snowboarding, and much more - these guys knew what they were doing. Several months of intense thinking resulted in the idea that the most successful option for holding such a forum would be to invite several very famous DJs who would share their experiences and musical ideas with less famous colleagues in an atmosphere of universal relaxation and enjoyment. The idea was a wild success, transforming in four years from a local gathering of lonely crazy DJs into a meeting place for electronic music enthusiasts from all over the world. In 2002, DJs and music producers from 30 countries gathered in São Paulo. Besides musicians, artists and installation creators appreciated the idea of such a forum. The special color of the "Academy" is given by unusual venues and fantastic interiors. When else can you perform in a women's prison (Dublin 2000) or play a "driving mix" in an old municipal building in London (2001)? "The name 'Academy' is initially intimidating," shares the opinion of Nuno Dos Santos from the Netherlands, one of the participants. "You immediately imagine boring lectures and annoying teachers. In reality, the 'Red Bull Music Academy' is more like a meeting place for friends and like-minded people. It's great to understand that you're not alone and that there are so many nice people around, each playing completely different and interesting music. Additionally, I met a very large number of 'useful' people from the music industry - I hope this will help my musical career." In any case, no matter what it's called - everyone who participated in the 'Red Bull Music Academy' unanimously called the 'Academy' the best days of their lives. Imagine: 30 DJs and producers of various nationalities, skin colors, social backgrounds, and political beliefs gathered in one room. What unites them all is the instructor and the sound system in the center. Two weeks of life in a special space - creating myths, changing illusions, exchanging ideas on a universal wave of vibrations and resonances. Welcome to the 'Red Bull Music Academy' - a special world where passion rules over profit, ideas over idiots, and abilities over money. How about participating this year? Cape Town, South Africa - legendary beaches, vibrant nightlife, and fantastic euro-African flavor. The political revolution in South Africa is over. The music revolution is in full swing! For the organizers of the 'Red Bull Music Academy,' talent is key, not administrative abilities or success, so getting into the 'Academy' is very simple. Fill out an application form, include several photos, and send your music on any medium. 60 selected participants will be invited by Red Bull to Cape Town, South Africa, where the Academy sessions will take place from November 2 to 14 and from November 23 to December 5. The number of applications and music submissions is unlimited! You can find a photo report from the DJs' meeting in the gallery section. Answers to all your questions can be found on the website www.redbullmusicacademy.com or you can contact Andrey Savostin at (095) 999-6392 from 11:00 to 19:00 on weekdays until July 25. Good luck!
