Hernan Cattaneo is the main hero of the fifth anniversary event of the Masters of Renaissance series, organized in Russia by the company Underground Sound of Moscow and the label Renaissance. The Argentine macho, who conquered the Old World with his talent at the beginning of the century, is coming to Moscow with Sequential Vol. 2. The compilation prepared by Renaissance on special order became a vivid proof of the creative flourishing of its author and one of the best albums of 2007. Hernan Cattaneo recorded his first disc for Renaissance back in 2004. By that time, when the label's management was considering whose name would adorn the cover of the next compilation of the Masters Series, the Argentine Cattaneo was already one of the recognized pillars of modern dance music. A simple guy from Buenos Aires, who was a fan of Depeche Mode and New Order, discovered house music back in 1987. Vinyl records from the Vinylmania store, brought from New York by a friend, literally blew Cattaneo's mind. Previous idols faded into the background, replaced by Frankie Knuckles, who impressed young Hernan with his ability to blend the energy of European electronic music with the magical power of North American culture. In the mid-90s, Hernan Cattaneo himself was the driving force of the emerging music scene in Argentina. Due to his talent, he was often compared to Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, John Digweed, and Danny Tenaglia, and they did not mind at all. Moreover, when Cattaneo became a resident at Cream club, Oakenfold invited him to join his European tour in 1998 and 1999, after which Cattaneo became a resident at Cream in Liverpool, a frequent guest in Ibiza, and began to travel the world on his own. By 2004, when Renaissance set their sights on Hernan Cattaneo, he had already achieved a lot: winning the 'Best New DJ' category at the prestigious Pacha Ibiza Awards, having his own show on the Argentine radio station Metrodance, solid positions in the Top 25 DJ Mag ranking, producing music with Deep Mariano, and participating in many cult festivals and club nights in Europe and the UK. Working on the Masters Series, Hernan Cattaneo took on the task with enormous enthusiasm, and the result delighted both the label management and music lovers. For the DJ himself, it was another gigantic leap forward. Promoting the album, he performed in all the best clubs in Europe, completed five tours in the US, visited Asia three times, and to top it all off, by the end of the year, his name was in the prestigious sixth place in the DJ Mag rating. In early 2005, Hernan released a continuation of the Renaissance Masters Series. Asking a DJ to make another album in the same series was unprecedented for the label. Taking on the experiment, Renaissance did not make a mistake - the Sequential compilation became legendary. In the track selection, Cattaneo demonstrated not only excellent taste but also the ability to transition between genres while maintaining his unique sound and mood. In 2007, Hernan Cattaneo recorded his third compilation for the Renaissance label - Sequential Vol 2. The album, recognized as one of the best works in the field of dance music for 2007, also became an indicator of the highest point in the creative career of the Argentine DJ.
