Mathew Jonson – special guest of Subelectronics

The special guest of the May “Suelectronics” is Matthew Johnson. A whole book could be written about the merits of this musician, but his name alone, by and large, speaks for itself. The charming Canadian is not only the founder of the Wagon Repair label, the main star of Plus 8 Records and a member of the Cobblestone Jazz group. Johnson is one of the lucky few who managed to move techno forward and truly step into the future. The single Marionette, released in 2005, became a real sensation; Johnson brought hitherto unprecedented emotional intensity and mystical energy to techno. Millions of techno-maniacs greeted the dawn at festivals to the sounds of Marionette, and the famous Richie Hawtin invariably ended hours-long sets with this composition.
