For the first time in Russia on July 19-20 at Bolotnaya Square, opposite the 'Udarnik' cinema in Moscow, Nokia is organizing a festival of avant-garde music and art that will attract thousands of music lovers. The most advanced artists from Russia, Germany, the UK, USA, creating music that will be considered 'trendy' tomorrow, will ignite the audience over two days. In the immediate vicinity of the Kremlin, there will be a mix of sunny reggae, dub, funk rhythms, breakbeats, cold, angular, provocative electroclash compositions, and experiments with synthetic sound. The festival will feature musicians from legendary labels such as Gigolo Records, Warp, Mo'Wax, Unique, with the festival's headliner being the father-founder of the cult project U.N.K.L.E., James Lavelle. The music extravaganza will last for two days. On the first day, fans of electro and techno will enjoy performances by legendary St. Petersburg musician and renowned DJ Igor Vdovin, along with Anton Kubikov of SCSI-9, and the Fizzarum group from St. Petersburg. Foreign electronic sound experimenters will surprise the audience as well. The second day will be filled with dub, hip-hop, and broken beats rhythms, including performances by Russian artists DUB TV and the cult group Caribace from St. Petersburg. International artists like Beans from New York, part of Warp Records, will also perform. The festival will not only showcase future music but will integrate various subculture elements such as painting, sculpture, design, dance, and more. Various contemporary artists will present their works, and Nokia will introduce the Nokia 3300 mobile phone with stereo FM radio, MP3 player, and digital voice recorder. The phone's capabilities will be demonstrated at the festival, showing its potential as a DJ deck and musical instrument. Guests can also participate in a Nokia 3300 phone giveaway.
