Melt 2009: How It Was

Perhaps 2009 was the most successful year for the German festival Melt. Some of those who attended the festival say that it was a turning point in their lives. Featuring concerts by Oasis, Phoenix, The Whitest Boy Alive, and Aphex Twin on its stage, the three-day event was marked by a massive crowd and a long line-up. The BPitch Control label played a particularly active role at the festival, bringing Ellen Allien, Paul Kalkbrenner, Kiki, and Sascha Funke to Melt. There were no less than two reasons to celebrate: besides Melt itself, the musicians were celebrating the label's anniversary. For those who could not attend the festival, the caring BPitch Control team recorded a video presenting their artists at the German event.
