International Music Summit Returns to Ibiza

The International Music Summit (IMS) will take place in Ibiza for the second year in a row, bringing together music industry representatives from different countries to discuss business development perspectives for the upcoming year. The conference weekend on May 27-29 will coincide with a party at Space club, marking the opening of the season on the island. One of the summit's organizers, DJ Pete Tong, commented on the upcoming event: 'What happened in Ibiza this year will undoubtedly impact the future of the music industry. In 2009, we plan to introduce several interesting projects.' It's worth noting that local authorities closed DC10, one of the island's most popular clubs, multiple times this summer. Other nightlife venues also faced tougher event regulations, which many observers interpreted as an attempt by the new administration to turn Ibiza into the next Saint-Tropez.
