MIGZ Market - Vinyl Picnic

On July 17, at the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure, throughout the whole Sunday, the 'MIGZ Market - Vinyl Picnic' will take place, entirely dedicated to vinyl records and music. This is the first event of its kind, but everything indicates that it will become a good tradition. Summarizing his thirty-year creative career, the famous DJ Sven Väth wrote: 'Vinyl is the medium for those who demand high sound quality.' It is hard not to believe a person who has listened to a huge number of records on various sound systems in his lifetime. Despite the technical progress and the dominance of 'digital,' many true and sincere electronic music lovers still collect vinyl, and various public opinion polls show that people on the dance floor really enjoy it when the DJ plays from real vinyl records instead of a boring laptop. In Moscow, there are DJs, clubs, and enthusiasts. But what is lacking is good music stores where vinyl records are sold, and where it's great to dig in hopes of finding a real gem. To somehow rectify the situation and bring interest to the surrounding events, a group of enthusiasts decided to organize a real 'Vinyl Picnic.' It is created primarily for those who love music very much, who enjoy immersing themselves in the world of vinyl records breathing with musical life, and by sifting through them, feel like a kind of archaeologist. 'MIGZ Market Vinyl Picnic' is created by music lovers and DJs for music lovers and DJs. Here DJs will play exclusively on vinyl, and music lovers will bring their collections in hopes of exchanging amazing rarities with each other. Throughout one day, the concentration of music and knowledge about it in the beautiful corner of the rapidly updating Gorky Park will literally be overwhelming. Add an improvised stage, chefs cooking on stoves, and music enthusiasts talking to each other about labels, artists, and proper mastering to all of the above – and you will get an almost perfect Sunday for those who take music very seriously and with great respect. The picnic will also have a place for the smallest vinyl fans, located within the friendly atmosphere of the first children's market.
