Miller More Than Party. Halloween Edition
Клубные российские · 25.10.2012
The legendary Miller Halloween, which became one of the most significant club events in the 2000s, returns this year in a completely unexpected format. This time under the aegis of the closed party Miller More Than Party. On October 26, 2012, a convention of the public movement "Energy of the City" will take place, aimed at uniting all those who care about the fate of club culture.
The Miller brand, the unchanging leader of nightlife in cosmopolitan metropolises, strives to "give more than can be expected" and continues to amaze even the most sophisticated audience by finding new formats and creating new club trends.
Events from the Miller More Than Party concept, which became a capital trend in 2011, exceeded the expectations of even the most demanding club culture enthusiasts, gifting them an unannounced performance by the inimitable Beth Ditto, the long-awaited Justice framed by a spectacular show, and the unforgettable morning back-to-back of Jamie Jones and Lee Foss on the roof of a disused factory building.
The return of the legendary Halloween within the framework of Miller More Than Party promises no less surprises.
This time, as a non-trivial basis for the event, the convention of the rising public movement "Energy of the City" was chosen, the goal of which is to raise the level of club culture in the country and bring about positive changes in the image of the club industry. Among the activists of the movement and delegates of the convention is the editor-in-chief of "Time Out" magazine Igor Shulinsky, the co-owner of the GIPSY club and DJ Alexander Dulshikov, VJ and showman Alexander Anatolyevich, the legend of club Moscow Pasha FaceControl and many others.
It is evident that an informal convention of such a movement should, in itself, set the most dizzying standards for a genuine party. Therefore, the slogan of the convention "We are More than Party!" will find an alternative interpretation in the course of the event - More Than Party promises all participants a new and unexpected concept of Miller Halloween 2012.
An ancient mansion from the 18th century in the very center of the capital was chosen as the venue for the event, the exact coordinates of which are kept in the strictest secrecy, as well as the details of everything that will happen within its walls. However, special requirements for the guests' dress code and illusory changes in space at the peak moment of the party are, without a doubt, Halloween-style inevitable.
Clubbers from around the world will be able to see all this live and join the celebration, thanks to a live online broadcast on the "Energy of the City" movement website www.city-energy.org and, of course, on www.millertonight.com. The script of the broadcast and the evening as a whole is managed by the team of Le Cirque de Charles La Tannes, the authors of the sensational hip-hop project "Cops on Fire" and many other loud projects.
Thus, it will not just be a live broadcast from the venue, but a full-fledged staged show, a special video version of what is happening using several HD cameras, professional television editing, quality sound directly from the artists' mixing console, and the opportunity for interactive communication between online viewers and hosts - Yulia Govor and Vasily Koybar.
Despite the usual secrecy of Miller parties, it is already known that the international club community will be represented at the convention by four legendary artists, whose performances will certainly set the tone for the whole evening.
Opening the night will be the legend of intellectual electronics, a star of the labels Kompakt, Systematic and Triebstoff Robert Babicz, who has remained on the list of the most touring DJs on the planet for over 20 years, though in essence he is not a DJ - since 1992, he has only played live.
Next up will be an artist who can rightly be called an "emotional dictator" - having entered the top twenty best techno DJs in the world in 2000, Steve Lawler has deservedly not left it since. His "born in rave but with house elements" music immerses dance floors in an atmosphere of pleasant madness, thirst for movement, and pleasure in any corner of the globe.
The next hero of the night is Guy Gerber, who quickly captured the attention of the best artists on the planet and received support from such giants as John Digweed (Bedrock), and later Sven Vath (Cocoon) with the possibility of releasing on their labels, will present to us for the first time in Russia a live version of his performance in the Space Disco style.
The final crescendo will be the set of the owner of his own label Outpost and the veteran of the Funk D'Void scene, who has been cultivating powerful, heavy sounds for 15 years, creating true classics of techno music.
