Top-notch minimal and tech-house

Cologne resident Gabriel Ananda is a unique techno artist. He caught the bug of straight techno bass drum in his youth, when he found himself at a set of his renowned compatriot Sven Vath in the mid-90s. Today, Ananda is a big name himself. He honors the traditions of local labels like the prestigious Kompakt, and on his small but ideologically impeccable label Karmarouge, he releases harmonious techno and minimal. The label's output already amounts to around twenty releases, and this is precisely the case when listening to each one is not such a crazy idea. Gabriel knows what he's doing - before founding his own record company, he released music on a chain of specialized techno labels - from Trapez to Substatic and Treibstoff. The German’s music, imbued with irony yet balanced, elegantly refutes the common opinion that music labeled 'Made in Cologne' is just dry clicks and gloomy clacks. In a sense, this is a very sensual form of minimal and tech-house - Ananda's music is skillfully twisted and, at the same time, precise, juicy, and point-like. It’s like glowing raindrops on freshly laid asphalt or fresh asphalt drops on freshly polished ice - whichever you prefer. Mentioning Gabriel Ananda implies top-notch minimal and tech-house. November 17, Friday, club 'Gorod', special guest: Gabriel Ananda (De), as well as DJs Kubikov, Helga, Spirit, Vanila, and Volodya, starting at 23:00, advance ticket sales at the Gorod club - 300 rubles.
