The lyrical techno of Muscovite Dmitry Karpov is released on a plethora of worthy labels — from the Japanese Mule Electronic to the London-based Crosstown Rebels, where Jamie Jones's mix 'Get Lost 2' featuring his track 'Lisa' was released. Now everything is different: with a fresh release by DJ Spell — under this pseudonym, the Russian introduces a new label to the continental techno community. A joyful event for the domestic scene will be celebrated on April 23 at 'Shanti' with a special Minimood Release Party. The program includes performances by DJ Spell and label owner Erich Bogatzki. Karpov found common ground with the Minimood boss in a tender love for vinyl — his tracks resonated so well with the Russian that the German decided to launch a sub-label Minimood Extra with Dima's 'Polyot' on vinyl. By the way, in Europe, 'Flight' is already being played by stars like Satoshi Tomiie, Dubfire, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, and others. The party at 'Shanti' will kick off the joint mini-tour of Karpov and Bogatsky in the south of Russia — on Friday, April 24, they will play at the Digger club in Krasnodar, and on Saturday, they will appear at the 'Gallery' club in Sochi.
