Minus begins its anniversary journey

The Sonar festival will be the starting point for the Contakt anniversary tour, organized in honor of the tenth anniversary of the German techno label Minus! Contakt is a live musical performance that has nothing in common with the previous tours of the Minus label. In addition to DJ sets, live sets and various music shows, Contakt will present a real electronic jam between Richie Hawtin and his colleagues from the Minus label: Magda, Troy Pierce, Marc Houle, Gaiser and Heartthrob. In other words, there will be no concept, planned sets or clear program, long live improvisation!
Richie will conduct the show from start to finish: while his colleagues will mix and twist the knobs, Richie will be at the main console to monitor the final result. Expect 6 hours of techno madness!
Richie Hawtin founded his Minus label 10 years ago with the hope that techno music would evolve further and further. Today, one of the areas of techno music - minimal - is already synonymous with the Minus label. Without Houtin’s video and audio works, it’s unlikely that minimal would have gained such popularity. Therefore, the label’s anniversary will also celebrate the tenth anniversary of minimal music!
