Mio presents: Are you ready to dance?

Black Strobe is a duo consisting of producer Arnaud Rebotini and DJ Ivan Smagghe - a studio wizard and a nightlife reveler, a metalhead and a disco freak at the same time. Now, combine these two completely different individuals, and you'll immediately understand where the roots of the original-unusual beat and the sound of their joint project come from. Rebotini is a respected producer, well known for his projects Boulez and Kirk/Malinder. Smagghe often sets Parisian dance floors on fire with unconventional DJ sets. Before joining the Black Strobe project, he was a keyboardist at France's Radio Nova and a member of Volga Select. Today, Smagghe possesses enough twisted disco to ignite dance floors worldwide, while Arnaud Rebotini's soundscapes add a dark and eerie vibe to the proceedings. Despite Black Strobe signing with Source France label at the very beginning of their creative path, their debut track 'Paris Acid City' recently appeared on the Source Lab compilation. Their next single 'Innerstrings,' which preceded the revival of electroclash and received high praise from DJ Hell, Tiga, Andrew Weatherall, Laurent Garnier, and many other well-known DJs and musicians, was released on the Output label in 2000. Thanks to their second single 'Me & Madonna' featuring vocals by Parisian DJ Jennifer, released on Output, Black Strobe earned a reputation as the most respected electro-disco duo. According to official sources, the project's debut album will not be long in coming. And the only dance party with Ivan Smagghe will take place on January 28 at MIO dj-cafe. Are you ready to dance?
