Miss Kittin Releases Solo Album
Музыкальные зарубежные · 10.12.2007
The queen of electro-clash, a disco ball enthusiast and a staunch fan of Frank Sinatra (You know Frank Sinatra – he's dead!) Caroline Hervé, better known as Miss Kittin, releases her second solo album Batbox.
Miss Kittin started her career as a DJ but soon began recording her own tracks. Her debut album I com and numerous collaborations with DJ Hacker and Felix Da Housecat positioned Kittin among the elite of the electro-clash scene, alongside Peaches, DJ Hell, and the whole crew of the prominent label International Deejay Gigolos.
On her first album, Miss Kittin reflected on the challenging life of club heroes, the kilograms of black caviar consumed, the hundreds of bottles of Crystal champagne drunk, sex in the back seat of a limousine, and other joys of life. Now she promises to bring elements of gothic and a distinctly dark-mystical sound into her music. Hervé's affinity for guitar music has always been evident – she has often been seen wearing a T-shirt with the print of the band Kiss, and her entire style serves as a reminder and symbolic representation of rock in electronic music.
You can listen to some tracks from the new album on Miss Kittin's official website http://www.kittinbatbox.com→. The full evaluation of the new album will be possible only next year, as the record is set to be released on February 1, 2008, on her own label aptly named Nobody's Bizzness.
