Music for Airports – The Black Dog release
Клубные российские · 15.02.2010
British collective The Black Dog will release the album Music For Real Airports on the Soma Recordings label at the end of spring. It will include new music from the project, as well as excerpts from nearly a 200-hour recording from various airports, exploring associations and ideas that people have with these places. The Black Dog's album is a kind of reworking of another well-known Briton - Brian Eno. In 1979, he presented a similar project Ambient1: Music For Airports – one of the first ambient works, according to music critics. It was a combination of musical composition with sounds of airports, taking off and landing planes, distant voices, and noise in waiting rooms. However, The Black Dog assures that their album is not as 'lulling' as the predecessor's work. It starts in an ambient style but gradually moves towards dubstep and percussion, only to slow down again towards the end. The release date on Soma Recordings is May 10, 2010. On April 24, as part of the Sensoria festival in Sheffield, The Black Dog will present the album and a joint multimedia project with video artists Human. Tracklist: 01. M1 02. Terminal EMA 03.
