Only a few DJs from the deserts of South Australia can be called successful, and Andy Morris is one of them.
Growing up in Sydney, Andy became a DJ while studying at the University. The money he earned playing at student parties went towards his tuition fees.
Moving to London in 1991 gave a serious boost to his music career. He wrote articles for DJ Mag, worked as a promoter in the clubs Kinky Overdose and the Café De Paris, and also performed there as a DJ. Soon he became a resident of the legendary Club UK and the Leisure Lounge. From that moment on, Andy began to lay a solid foundation for the future.
First, he entered the first half of the annual DJ MAG TOP 100; then he became accepted in the "narrow circle" of world professionals as a producer of his own projects and as part of the "Narcotic Trust" project.
Released on the Ffrr/Yoshitoshi labels, the single Narcotic Trust "Safe From Harm" made it to the list of the best singles of 2002 and became the first track in the Billboard charts.
It also became the most reported track on British national radio Radio 1, as well as the number 1 track in the personal charts of DJs like Sanchez, Pete Tong's, and Dennis Tenaglia, and was recognized as an official club hit.
As an independent producer, Andy Morris made a mix for the Hed Kandi compilation called "Do 4 Love", as well as Chris Coco's 'Only Love' (Distinctive).
He currently hosts a weekly dance music show on Kiss 100 FM's Late Night Session, which airs from 2 to 4 am every Thursday, with broadcasts also available online.
Andy’s latest album, "Parallels", released on Obsessive Records (which also releases Danny Howells, Colin Dale, and Circulation), received wide resonance in the British press and was very popular among Russian DJs.
Known as one of the most versatile DJs, he remains an unmatched professional behind the turntables. He continues to travel worldwide as a DJ, from Israel to Mexico, and regularly plays in London and Brighton, being a resident at Lofthouse (Frankfurt, Germany).
