Freska is a Russian musician currently living in Stockholm. He has not been in the European techno scene for long, but he has already gained respect and recognition. The first step was releasing a full vinyl record on Oliver Koletzki's label Stil Vor Talent titled 'Some Turns Inside'. This was a very successful debut that made it into the charts and playlists of Laurent Garnier, Carl Craig, Kiki, and other renowned artists. Shortly after, the success of the debut was solidified with the next record released on KarateKlub, even making it into one of the official charts of English superstar Carl Cox. Thanks to this, as well as to the music that has its own identity, Freska is a frequent guest at various European parties where melodic passages and thumping techno beats are heard. This year is marked for him by signing a contract for 2 records with the legendary Soma recordings, namely with its sub-label, Silicone Soul - Darkroom Dubs. The first release saw the light in July this year, and support soon followed from Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, residents of the legendary DC10, plus one of the tracks appears in Darren Emerson's mix cover for one of the issues of Dj Mag. As of today, Freska is awaiting the release of his second record on Soma and another on the Danish Tic Tac Toe, and once again a new portion of melodicism, zest, and northern melancholy will see the light and undoubtedly find its listeners.
