The Real American Disco

Legendary New York DJ and producer stood behind the decks of the Studio 54 club on the very night when Bianca Jagger decided to come to the party partially naked riding a white horse. Siano, in the image of the first truly stellar DJ, has forever entered club history as a true aesthete and the main preacher of American disco. In the mid-70s, he owned the famous club The Gallery, where another renowned DJ and godfather of New York house Larry Levan started, the incomparable Loleatta Holloway, and the owner of one of the most distinctive voices of modern times Grace Jones. Paying tribute to Siano's DJ merits, the authoritative label SoulJazz released the triple LP Nicky Siano's Legendary The Gallery, which includes the most popular songs of New York's main underground club. And finally, as a result of the collaboration between Nicky Siano and the brilliant American composer Arthur Russell in the late 70s, the almost most recognizable underground disco hit 'Kiss Me Again' emerged.
