Not everyone can get to FortDance 2008

The idols of the St. Petersburg FortDance festival at various times were and remain Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Deep Dish, Infected Mushrooms, Roger Sanchez, Hernan Cattaneo, Annie Mac, Gui Boratto, Rex The Dog, Moonbootica, SCSI-9, Touche and many other equally significant stars of the electronic scene. Originating as a private art project, the festival quickly took its place in the calendar of international dance events.
The next episode of the musical sequel is being released in limited release. By refusing to sell tickets, FortDance organizers set their own rules and standards. Obviously, only those who have been part of it until today will be the guests of the festival. This time the festival becomes a closed event, with personal invitations sent to guests from the organizers.
The musical heritage of FortDance is rich not only with a stellar line-up, but also with many multimedia surprises that add brightness, scale and color to the night. Three names from the secret line-up festival have already become known. The first of them is Abe Duque. For this Detroit DJ, the main creative message is a frantic desire to “connect the incompatible”: in his mixes, a broken instrumental line can famously coexist with an acid-jazz ornament.
The next participant of the festival, one of the most talented Israeli DJs, is Guy Gerber. Raised on the bittersweet harmonies of artists such as Joy Division, The Beach Boys and Sonic Youth, he went further than his colleagues and paid closer attention to the potential hidden in studio hardware.
And finally, the third name is Funk D'Void. Having moved from Scotland to Barcelona in 1999, he found in the Spanish city not only inspiration, but also a wonderful climate, cheap housing and vibrant nightlife, which could not but affect his work.Saturday, July 19, 2008
