German deep-house kings Ame became the first announced participants in the club series Global Breakthrough 2007, which will be held in Cape Town, South Africa. Global Breakthrough is a series of club events, running from February 16 to March 4, designed to bring the spirit of Miami and Ibiza to the sleepy African kingdom. The attention of the club public was already drawn to this city when Dave Seaman released his compilation "Global Underground 016: Cape Town" in 2000. \nIn the first week of Global Breakthrough, the best DJs on the planet will delight the ears of visitors, creating in the directions of house, electrohouse and progressive, in the second – deep tech house and minimal techno. Residents of clubs DC10, Cocoon and Space, with the support of artists from the labels Global Underground, Azuli and Defected, will play in various exotic places in Cape Town: on closed private beaches, in castles and luxurious mansions. \nSpeaking about the participants of the Ame festival, they became known to the general public after the release of their hit Rej, perhaps the most popular deephouse track of the last year. They record on the Sonar Kollektiv label, their remixes are happily published by Compost Records, Buzzin’ Fly and 20:20 Vision, and Steve Bug invited them to mix the latest compilation from the Dessous Recordings label. New heroes of deep house? Probably, because the invitation to Global Breakthrough is not accidental.
