Unexpected Nomination for Daft Punk

"Light" confusion among professionals and music lovers was caused this year by one of the nominations of the prestigious American Grammy Awards, comparable in significance to the Oscar in film. Among the candidates for the "Best Dance Recording of 2009" is the French duo Daft Punk with their composition Harder Better Faster Stronger, officially released 7 years ago.
Competing with Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter in this nomination, alongside three representatives of popular music (Lady Gaga, Madonna, and Rihanna), will be the recently visited Moscow Australian Sam Sparrow with his recording Black and Gold.
For the Best Remix award, among others will compete Justice (remix of MGMT "Electric Feel") and Deadmau5 (Morgan Page "The Longest Road").
The 51st Grammy Awards ceremony will take place in Los Angeles on February 8, 2009.
