Tenderness of Young Lions

The most amusing definition of the musical style in which Boozoo Bajou plays sounds like this: Nu-DubReggae-meets-Mambo-Bossa. The work of the German duo is a real headache for music critics and all those who consider themselves as such. What Peter Heider and Florian Seyber have been doing for the past five years is too independent to obediently fit into carefully prepared frameworks. With their very first work, the single 'Night Over Manaus', the duo announced themselves as a very noticeable phenomenon on the global lounge scene. Boozoo Bajou managed to break free from the refined aesthetic trip-hop in the spirit of Tosca, Shantel, or Waldek and fill their music with the pungent scent of the Amazon rainforest. Mixing cocktails of the gentlest easy listening, reggae, blues of Muddy Waters, and jazz, the musicians create luxurious exotic sound fantasies, filled with the spicy air of the southern seas, sensuality, and tender passion. Boozoo Bajou has collaborative projects with Richard Dorfmeister, the duo Thievery Corporation, Les Demon Flowers, and Rockers Hi-Fi, and has cooperated with record labels G-Stone, Quango, Compost Records, and Mole Listening Pearl. In 2002, Boozoo Bajou recorded a soundtrack for a Martini ad, starring George Clooney, and the legendary brand appreciated the work of the Nuremberg musicians. Their Moscow concert is a continuation and development of the Martini ideology, expressed in the concept of 'VIVA la VITA!'.
