On January 29, Discoteque club will kick off the season of techno parties. The first gift to Moscow fans of true techno will be an event by Berghain/Panorama Bar featuring Jerome Sydenham and residents of the cult German project. The famous Berlin club conglomerate Berghain/Panorama Bar embodies the harmony of club music of the past twenty years. For those who love the expressiveness in music and feel its power, there is the huge dance floor of Berghain. For those who prefer comfort, human warmth, and modesty in music, there is Panorama Bar. Club Discoteque, which has become a Moscow partner of Berghain/Panorama Bar, strives to combine all the ingredients that have brought the Berlin club to the popularity it now enjoys at its signature parties. The second Moscow party in this series will feature people who, though not having radically different musical views, are capable of conveying similar musical emotions through various musical means.Jerome Sydenham is a highly acclaimed American DJ and musician. As the owner of the truly authoritative house music label Ibadan, he is one of the few American DJs continuing to develop the ideas laid down by the great American house musicians in the early nineties. With a large number of highly successful dance hits to his name (some of which are rightfully considered classics of house music: Sandcastles or Elephant), Sydenham organically combines the emotions of house music, the energy of techno, and the fun in his work.Norman Nodge is one of the residents of Berghain. His love for somewhat gloomy, yet not entirely dark rhythms and emotions fits very well to energize such a large space as the former Berlin power station. In addition to his DJ activities, Norman occasionally releases tracks of his own making, one of the most successful being his record release on the label of his good friend Marcel Dettmann. As a DJ, Norman Nodge skillfully draws parallels between the old and the new, between the avant-garde and the mainstream, delving into the history of electronic music and its future.Marcel Fengler is the second Marcel (alongside Dettmann) among the residents of Berghain. Just like Dettmann, he skillfully transmits the true spirit and mood of techno music. Numerous music critics call Fengler, who has only three records in his collection, one of the mentors of true techno music. This does not mean that he shies away from experiments or blindly follows the roots of this musical style. It is precisely in his DJ mixes that new and bold musical ideas emerge, ideas that are later reflected in various techno records.
