New Year's Festival ArtCut

The idea of ​​synthesizing different types of art is one of the most popular in modern culture. And not only popular, but also effective, opening up wide opportunities for creative exploration. The multicultural festival ArtCut, held by the independent label Citadel records, is the best proof of this.
The creativity of the festival participants corresponds to the most current trends in world culture and at the same time makes little use of verbal structures that create a language barrier. This allowed the Citadel records project, conceived as a festival of independent Russian culture in Japan, to grow into Sound system, a “festival on wheels” that recognizes neither geographical nor stylistic boundaries. A festival designed to introduce residents of different countries and cities to progressive types of audio-visual art from modern Russia, as well as to demonstrate the important role of music in their rapprochement and interaction.
In September 2007, the first presentation of the Art Cut program took place at the Aktovy Zal cultural center. It included an improvisational performance by the theater "Po.V.S. Dances" to the music of Arkady Marto (Eject Project) and Valery Vasyukov (THE:HET); performance "NEW YEAR" by the theater without words "Project of Philip Grigoryan" (sound design: TNE:NET), performances by RYABA Mutantъ, THE:HET, Moscow Grooves Institute, Dubstepler and other artists of the Citadel records label.
And on December 27, as part of the ArtCut festival, a concert will take place with the participation of popular Russian bands and DJs. In addition to the approaching New Year, this evening Citadel records will celebrate the release of a new release of the Russian-Canadian project DSM Formation Jekyll/Hide - and its birthday! In 2007, Citadel turned 10 years old.
The label, of course, enters the second decade of its history with music.
