New Artists in the Lineup of the German Festival Melt!

July 16 – 18, 2010 – the dates for one of the main German festivals of the year – Melt! Traditionally, the event takes place in Ferropolis – a museum of huge industrial machines in the open air near the city of Dessau.

Organizers report additional names of artists included in the lineup. Among them are musicians: Kings of Convenience, Goldfrapp, the frontman of Bloc Party – Kele, several indie bands Shout Out Louds, Yeasayer, Jamie T, Midlake, Delphic, Friendly Fires, Johnossi, Health, The Big Pink, Dirty Projectors. The pop scene at the festival will be represented by Miike Snow, Hercules And Love Affair, Jamie Lidell, Hurts, and the German band Bonaparte with their new album. In the festival space curated by the German duo Modeselektor, Modeselektor feat. Bonaparte live (Visuals: Pfadfinderei), Jamie XX, Black Rose (Jesse Rose & Henrik Schwarz live), Martyn vs. Kode 9, Mala, Jackmaster, Skate are confirmed.

Melt! announces the cancellation of a previously announced performance by The Wombats – the British project pulled out of the event due to work on their new album.
