The album NETSLOV "Electronic Ethnology" was first released on CD in the United States. The material, recorded by the group back in 1998-99 in St. Petersburg, had only been released in a limited cassette edition by the independent St. Petersburg label Zvezda Records. As the current head of this label, Ruslan ALIEV claims, the company plans to re-release "Electronic Ethnology" on CD during 2002. How it made it to the American label Proforma Records, which released the album - no one knows. Project leader Dan KALASHNIKOV recently learned about the release of the record: "Of course, it's nice when the echo of your small home sound experiment resonates on the other side of the planet, however, it can't be ignored that this echo is so delayed it is hard to believe in it" - said the musician.
