New Year in the style of new jazz

Musician and producer Mark de Clive-Lowe will visit Moscow with a New Year's set. At the moment, Mark is one of the key figures in the 'new jazz movement,' combining urban rhythms of the 21st century with jazz, funk, and ethnic music in his work. During his live performances, Mark creates his music 'anew' - starting with a simple beat that gradually builds into a complex rhythmic structure layered with electronic keys, percussion parts from virtuoso drummer Kaidi Tatham, and the beautiful voice of Bembe Segue. Similar electronic-jazz improvisations regularly take place at the Freesoul Sessions parties held by Mark in London. One of the regular participants at Mark's sessions and his companions on trips around countries and continents is MC Motet. Jason Jerome Hicks, better known in the London underground scene as Motet, has a reputation as one of the best MCs of his generation. Also performing at the New Year's party will be Ilya Rasskazov and Dmitry Studitsky - Moscow advocates of West London broken beat and future jazz music, combining a variety of music genres in their eclectic sets - from Brazilian tropicalia and Afrobeat to deep house and trip-hop.
