Oakenfold is Coming to Moscow Again
Клубные российские · 17.10.2007
The star of the international dance scene and a favorite of the capital's audience, the unparalleled Paul Oakenfold returns to Gaudi Arena with a three-hour DJ set. Paul Oakenfold's tours in Moscow have become a good tradition. Once, and sometimes twice a year, Paul definitely visits the Russian capital – to celebrate his birthday with close friends, to warm up the crowd before Madonna's performance, or for a big party at Gaudi Arena. And no matter how many of these tours there are, his performances are invariably sold out. Paul is loved in Moscow. And he reciprocates Moscow’s affections.
2007 has been quite a busy year for Paul Oakenfold. His touring schedule includes about a hundred performances, from exotic China to stadium shows in Hollywood. He records mixes for radio and launches new musical projects. One of them is quite unusual – together with composer Felix Brenner and the Boston Pop Orchestra, Oakenfold prepared a program that combines symphonic and electronic music. The premiere of this extraordinary show took place at the end of June in Boston – an orchestra of 96 musicians and Paul himself, armed with turntables and synthesizers, performed several instrumental pieces.
However, the guests of the Gaudi Arena club will hardly be touched by these experiments. They will enjoy a three-hour set from one of the world's most in-demand DJs, a guru of trance music, and a person who has forever changed our perceptions of dance music.
Before his performance at Gaudi, Paul will stop by the radio station "Silver Rain," where Pasha Koreets will talk to Paul about music and creativity during the program "Dance Floor."
October 19, Friday, starting at 23:00, Gaudi Arena presents Paul Oakenfold, as well as Volodya Lantern, Koreets, and Misha Spirit.
