Dates announced for the sixth Winter Music Conference in Sochi

The sixth Winter Music Conference 2011 will take place in Sochi from February 3 to February 6. The latest electronic music, nightlife of metropolises, extraordinary club events, and international festivals will be discussed in Sochi by delegates from various regions of the country and neighboring countries.

SWMC is a prestigious forum for professionals in the music and club business, held in Sochi for the sixth time already. Traditionally, it will take place on the first weekend of February at the Marins Park Hotel and will consist of two parts - a two-day business program and a night block - a series of parties presented by well-known music labels and promo groups.

SWMC brings together influential figures in show business, artists and DJs, producers, sound engineers, promoters, music journalists, managers and owners of nightclubs and record companies, event managers, radio and TV presenters, booking agents, brand managers, festival organizers, and many other figures in the music industry. At different times, the Conference speakers included journalist Artemy Troitsky, General Producer of MTV Russia Andrey Reznikov, Marketing Director of Pacha International Ricardo Garriga, designer Denis Simachev, General Director of EMI Russia Sergey Baldin, head of the Fierce Angels label Mark Doyle, as well as leading Russian DJs Vladimir Fonarev, Groove, Mike Spirit, Grad, and many others. Representatives of the Miller brand, a permanent Partner of SWMC, will share their experience of many years of cooperation with the club and music industry.

In record time, the Winter Music Conference has become an important part of Sochi's event tourism program. Last year, the SWMC attracted 1500 delegates to the city from all corners of Russia and neighboring countries - both industry professionals and fans of electronic music interested in the Conference's rich nightlife program. The importance of this event for the city is underscored by the fact that for the third year in a row, the official start of the SWMC is given by the mayor of Sochi.

Almost all clubs in the city are involved in the Conference's nightlife program. From February 3 to February 6, as part of SWMC 2011, it is planned to hold around thirty parties with the participation of leading Russian and international DJs and musicians.
