Another Evolution party will take place on July 17 at Gaudi Club. As always, you can expect stunning sound and crazy lights. And also stars of the world dance floors.
**Quivver**
The music created by Quivver (real name John Graham) is included in every top DJ set, starting from the early 'Saxy Lady' and 'Twist and Shout' to the crazy composition 'She Does'. John Graham, along with his partner Neil Barry, originally signed a contract with 'A and M Records'. Sasha, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, and many others became hot fans of his talent, and now the name Quivver is well known in the world of progressive music. During his work, John also recorded tracks under the alias 'Skanna', his dark alter ego. Under this name, John released the track 'Drum & Bass', capturing the hearts of 'Fabio & Grooverider', 'Doc Scott', and many others.
Before transitioning to dance music, Quivver worked in the alternative rock style, almost always performing the vocal parts himself. 'I'm tired of doing the same thing over and over; I get inspired by listening to other music,' he says.
Studio A&M terminated its relationship with John, and currently, he is torn between his recording partner and working under his own name. Paul Oakenfold, his huge fan, was the first on Quivver's path to recognize his immense talent and signed him to work in his 'Perfecto' studio. Being an integral part of massive tours, John continued to shine and release music under the 'Perfecto' brand until the studio split in 1998. Later, in 1998, John signed a contract with 'Virgin Records' and changed his alias to 'Stoneproof'. The release of his first single 'Everything's Not You' earned loud critical acclaim and hot club support, being included in albums like 'Northern Exposure', 'Resident - 2 Years of Oakenfold at Cream', 'Sasha's Global Underground', and many more!
In 2000, John abandoned the name Stoneproof and returned to the alias Quivver. It seems that the name Quivver never disappeared and is still well-known. John continues to work on remixes and performs under the same name in the trio Tilt (together with Mick Park and Mick Wilson). His latest remixes include tracks like 'Lies' (Karen Ramirez), 'Eve of The War' (Jeff Wayne), 'Stage One' (Space Manoeuvres), 'Do You Really Want To Hurt Me', 'Time' (Culture Club), and the freshest ones, 'Calling Your Name' (Libra) and 'Do You Feel My Love' (Danny Tenaglia). John also works in the studio with Sasha, and this seems to be a key melody in Sasha's new album.
**Parks & Wilson**
The sensational duo Parks & Wilson, who created incredible musical material to support Paul Oakenfold's world tour across South America called 'Renaissance' last June, are returning this month to once again shake the dance floors. Mick Parks and Mick Wilson (two-thirds of Tilt, with John Graham, also known as Quivver, as the third), filling our heads with an incredible form of hard (progressive) ecstasy, are returning this time together with the most outstanding representative of Renaissance - DJ Danny Howells.
In the field of recording, Parks and Wilson worked under various names, keeping the 'Parks and Wilson' mark for their DJ career and building up this name to who they are now. Their partnership began in 1989 at the English club 'The Eclipse' in Coventry, concurrently with the rise of another star - DJ Sasha. By 1994, their status as leading DJs allowed them to embark on an international tour, playing with Simply Red in Verona and further shows in Paris and other European cities.
In 1996, together with John Graham, they first entered the TOP 40 under the alias 'Tilt'. Their highly successful composition 'I dream' was recorded at the Perfecto studio (Paul Oakenfold). In 1998, they were nominated for 'Independent Brand of the Year' and entered the TOP 20 of the British charts with the composition 'Invisible'. The hit recording was made jointly with Paul van Dyk, who later became a backing vocalist in the unforgettable recording 'It's not over yet'.
Some of the latest Tilt compilations include a remix of the song 'Lies' (Karen Ramirez) and the incredible track 'Space Manoeuvres' following the album Northern Exposure released by Sasha and John Digweed. Recording studios Danny Tenaglia and Twisted offer the duo Parks and Wilson to create various remixes.
