Orbital at Sonar 2009

One of the main electronic groups of the 90s, the British Orbital, will perform for the third time at the Sonar festival of music and multimedia art, which will be held in Barcelona from June 18 to 20. Orbital is going on tour and will make a stop in the Catalan capital, among other places.\nThe duo of brilliant brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll formed in 1987 and took their name from the London ring road. Musicians were among the first to begin doing what today we, without hesitation, call a live performance: improvisation during a concert.\nOver a nearly twenty-year period, the band has released several compositions of different musical styles, from IDM and ambient to techno and house, which will forever remain classics of electronic music, including Chime, The Box, Belfast, Satan and Style.\nOn the 16th version of Sonar, the brothers will not perform a single new tune - only their hits, which will be accompanied by a special video show.
