DJ Oskar or Oscar Melzer - undoubtedly knows how to attract people's attention with his active work. DJing is just a small part of the talents of this multi-talented Berlin resident. Sometimes Oscar takes on producing TV shows or writing music for soundtracks. In addition, he managed to find time to make a name for himself as an actor. Last year, the film Nicolet Krebitz's 'Jeans Movie' with his participation became very popular in Germany. But Oscar's main merit is his tremendous work for the benefit of European club culture. Oscar started helping with art design and artist selection at the famous Underground. However, in '95, seeking his own path, he and Michael Reinboth from Compost Records created the Electric Lounge club in Munich. Despite the noticeable success of Electric Lounge, Oscar was drawn to the capital. Moving there in '98, he started working as a curator at the Berlin FFWD gallery. Just a year after moving, Oscar managed to open a club that became a real breakthrough in Berlin's cultural life. In the establishment called POGO, Oscar managed to create not just a trendy place, but a true embodiment of innovation and constant creative search. Unfortunately, in 2001, POGO had to close. But in exchange for the loss, Oscar came up with a new club - F.U.N. Like its predecessor, it quickly became one of the best clubs in Berlin. No wonder, as Oscar immediately started inviting the most relevant and fashionable musicians. DJ Hell, Fisherspooner, Fetisch, Stereo MCs performed at F.U.N. Karl Lagerfeld and Dazed & Confused hosted their parties there. In short, F.U.N. is now so good that it made it into the top ten best venues on the planet according to THE FACE magazine. This year, taking his favorite records with him, Oscar decided to travel the world, play in other clubs.
