Клубные российские · 06.10.2004
On October 7th, a ceremony to consecrate the statue of the Golden Buddha will take place at the Shanti Gallery. The ceremony will be conducted by the representative of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Russia, Geshe Tsering, and Tibetan lamas from the ancient Gyudmed monastery, whose rituals and ceremonies have earned unwavering respect from the residents of the Land of Snows for many centuries. The consecration of a statue involves filling it with the pure energy of the Enlightened Ones, empowering it to help all living beings who offer their prayers and wishes to it. The Gyudmed lamas perform rituals in the style of rare overtone chanting, which has been highly acclaimed in recent years on stages of the world's top theaters like the Latvian National Opera. The Gyudmed lamas have arrived in Moscow to participate in the 'TIBET' festival, where they will present a meticulously crafted oil sculpture. The rituals performed by the tantric lamas of Gyudmed are highly esteemed in the Tibetan community due to the sacred texts they follow, composed by enlightened teachers, carrying their blessings and power. The Gyudmed monastery, founded in 1433 in Lhasa, Tibet, has been a prominent Buddhist university for over 500 years, preserving and transmitting sacred Tibetan monk practices and arts from master to disciple. The entrance fee is 1000 rubles, and the proceeds will go towards constructing a boarding school for Tibetan refugees in India. For more information, call 783 6868.
