Parov Stelar back in Russia

Parov Stelar are kind werewolves. In peaceful times, this is Markus Fuereder, an Austrian producer living on the banks of the Danube in the city of Linz, composing diverse music at the intersection of jazz, house, downtempo, and broken rhythms. Closer to the evening, the phenomenon starts to be called Parov Stelar Band. Or simply - the Austrian concert miracle. Fuereder started as a DJ in the 90s, and began composing music in 2000. Three years later, he came up with the pseudonym Parov Stelar and founded a label to release his tracks, 'Etage Noir Recordings'. Soon a word emerged that quite accurately defined his style – electroswing. His songs ended up in over 700 compilations, dozens of commercials, TV shows, and movies. Active listeners were treated to six albums, the latest of which, 'Coco', was released in 2009. However, every producer dreams not only of sitting in the studio, but also of shining on stage. Thus, in 2005, a band appeared - with a rhythm section, a female vocalist, and a saxophonist. The latter two are Parov Stelar's secret weapons. Markus Ecklmayr continuously delivers passionate solos, and Beate Baumgartner simultaneously brings to mind blues enchantresses and gypsy witches. Austrians are often compared to De Phazz and Gabin. However, there are also very noticeable differences. Despite all the jazziness, in Fuereder and his comrades' music, Balkan motifs are clearly audible, to which, for some reason, you want to dance the Charleston. As a result, it turns out to be a kind of punk-rock in the style of the 1940s - it no longer matters what is being played or how, the main thing is that both the audience and the musicians are riding the same waves of endless night. Obviously, if the studio version of the project is like a movie-love, then the concert is like sensual sex. Everything you wanted to know about Austria, but were afraid to ask.
