Somatic reality. The unique club visual project of the Ikra club, Laboratory Anti>>Video, presents a party on March 25 featuring the work of St. Petersburg photographer, media artist, and mini-disc jockey Alexander Streltsov. The word the author most often uses to describe his projects is Dream. Streltsov, in his early thirties, has been experimenting with black-and-white slide projections since the late 90s. Eyewitnesses attest that what they see indeed most resembles the whimsical reality a person typically encounters in a dream. What you are about to see at the Anti>>Video Laboratory is Alexander Streltsov's solo performance - a set of 'live' (analog) slide films. The author manually demonstrates the set by overlaying two slide projections and simultaneously mixing various fragments of avant-garde experimental music tracks. Coil, Psychic TV, Current 93, Ivan Pavlov, and other favorites of the knowledgeable audience are featured. Using old-school technologies, simple techniques, and compelling musical material, the author guarantees the following (quoting): viewers are in for an exciting psychedelic journey through space and time in their own consciousness and subconsciousness.
