Moscow's largest and perhaps most beloved open-air event, Picnic 'Afisha,' will take place this year on July 23 in the traditional location of Kolomenskoye. Some foreign and Russian artists performing at this year's festival are already known, and we are pleased to introduce them in this overview. The festival's music program continues to lean towards rock, with the main stage featuring a variety of rock artists ranging from danceable Britpop to uncompromising grunge. Electronic music will be heard on the second stage, where one of the most anticipated guests will be the Los Angeles-based family duo Rainbow Arabia. In the same venue, the most promising Russian electronic artist, Roman Litvinov aka Mujuice, will perform with his new live band, introducing his program that seamlessly blends engaging lyrics with a contemporary electronic sound. On the main stage, the festival will host the American band Hole, fronted by Courtney Love, who is not only known for her provocative nature but also as a powerful frontwoman. Also headlining the main stage is the British band Kaiser Chiefs, known for their bold and loud sound that can energize thousands of listeners. Another performer to look forward to is the young singer of Greek descent, Marina Diamandis, who will showcase her mix of ballads and energetic new wave compositions with her group Marina & the Diamonds. Among the Russian artists announced are the popular 'Oba dve' and the beloved band 'Bravo.'
