Telefon Tel Aviv's First Moscow Concert in the Group's New History
Клубные российские · 31.05.2009
The name of the music collective Telefon Tel Aviv emerged as a play on words when two New Orleans residents, Joshua Eustis and Charles Cooper, conceived a project that largely defined the electronic sound of the 2000s and brought entirely new tones to IDM. The most successful year for the group was 2009: three albums, the last of which - Immolate Yourself - fused the sounds of new disco, post-rock, and sharp electro; a huge number of tours and the deserved cult status. With Charles's sudden death, it seemed that the TTA story should have ended. However, on March 22, 2009, Joshua Eustis posted a message on the group's MySpace stating his intention to continue the group's work with a new member - Fredo Noguera, an old friend of TTA who had helped in the recording of the collective's early albums. Having composed fresh and unreleased material, the new lineup of TTA embarked on a world tour. One of the stops is the Add Noise party, which will take place on June 3 at the Solyanka club in Moscow.
