'If there ever was a truly ground-breaking bunch of guys in the VJ world, it's certainly this lot' - writes Dj Magazine. Addictive TV, recently taking first place in the world among VJs according to DJ Magazine's Top 100, is a London-based group of audio-video artists and producers who have excelled in the art of VJing over the past year, making it a mainstream phenomenon in most media for nearly a decade. They created what is recognized as the first VJ-DVD label, releasing DVDs that mix music and video. Currently, Addictive TV is releasing a batch of DVD albums created with the participation of the best audiovisual artists on the planet. DVD releases include Audiovisualize, DVD Transambient, and the Mixmasters series. As VJs, Addictive TV has worked with Howie B, Andrew Weatherall, Miss Kittin, Goldie, and Fatboy Slim. Their own AV tracks have been showcased on screens at festivals around the world, including Sonar, the Edinburgh Festival, Midem, and Resfest. They have presented their shows at The Audiovisual Lounge in London since 2000, performing in Paris, Tokyo, Montreal, and San Francisco. The new program by Graham Daniels and Nick Clarke, The Eye of the Pilot, utilizing amateur color footage from various parts of the world filmed by a French pilot in the early 50s, is performed 'live'. This year, the project was successfully shown at the Pompidou Center in Paris, at the Animation Exhibition in Brussels, and at the film festival in San Francisco. Addictive TV is coming to Russia for the first time. The show The Eye of the Pilot continues the series of cultural events within the DIA 2006 project.
