The play Ecstasy

Irving Welsh's book 'Ecstasy' tells three stories about love, raves, and madness that prevailed in Edinburgh in the 90s. In Edinburgh itself, the book has been adapted into a play and is being prepared for a theatrical production. The play was written by Kevin Wyatt and directed for Easy Tiger Productions by director Maddy Lewis. The performance will take place as part of the well-known Edinburgh Fringe Arts Festival. The play's synopsis states: 'You will explore the true nature of house music and chemical romance with us... It's a realistic reflection of club life and its heroes.' Irving Welsh, the author of 'Trainspotting', is one of the most discussed and sometimes controversial English authors of today. Once, 'The Face' magazine called his work a mirror of the 'chemical generation.'
