Plastik Funk is Rafael Ximenez, born in Madrid, and Mikio from Tokyo. The duo is based in Düsseldorf and in recent years has been an integral part of the global nightlife scene. San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Hawaii, Zurich, Barcelona, Prague, Vienna, Tokyo – are just a few cities familiar with their unique sound. During the summer of 2004, Plastik Funk spent most of their time in Ibiza, playing at clubs like El Divino, Space, Privilege, and Pacha. In 2005, they also had a busy tour schedule on the famous party island. Since the beginning of 2005, Plastik Funk have been residents of the Privilege World Tour, where they promote the special spirit of Ibiza and have already toured all European countries, including Ukraine. They have also become official DJs for Red Bull Racing Club, Warsteiner Clubworld, performed at the first German Sensation White festival, and are regularly invited to major events in Europe. As producers, Plastik Funk gained recognition with their debut record - 'Do it right E.P.', produced with Peter Juergens and Oliver Klein. The release was on the German label Sure Player, known for collaborations with Kid Creme and Play Paul. Their tracks immediately made it into top charts of renowned DJs like Roger Sanchez, Moonbootica, The Disco Boys, DJ Antoine, Oliver Moldan, Oliver Klein, and the duo's second single 'San Francisco' became a hit on dance floors worldwide. Currently, the musicians are working on new compositions in the studio and regularly receive requests for remixes from big names and respected labels. On January 19, Friday, Fabrique presents Housework's Night with special guests Plastik Funk, and DJs Cat, Fenix, and Mendez.
