Plastikman Live debuts in Ibiza

Richie Hawtin under his most famous alter ego with a new program Plastikman Live will debut in Ibiza on August 5, 2011, as part of the exclusive party series I Want My MTV Ibiza at the oldest club Amnesia supported by MTV Spain. For 12 years, MTV has been organizing its music marathon on the island, presenting the biggest artists of the international dance scene. In 2011, the festival is preparing a unique live program at one of Ibiza's most famous clubs, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The first party of the I Want My MTV Ibiza project will take place on Friday, July 1, and then, up to the final night on September 2, ten breathtaking dance events will be held here. One of the main headliners is Richie Hawtin. Richie Hawtin opened his current season with the Plastikman Live show in March at the Future Music Festival during his Australian tour. In addition to the artist himself, an excellent team of professionals works on Plastikman Live. Among them are: visual artist Ali Demirel (Minus), a group of software development specialists (Liine), and Jarrett Smith from the Canadian studio of visual programming Derivative, whose latest development for interactive 3D design TouchDesigner has become a key tool for implementing the show. Among other festival headliners: Duran Duran (live, with DJ Mark Ronson), 2ManyDJs (live), and Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. (live), as well as a number of special guests including Layo & Bushwacka!, Marco Carola, Magda, James Holden, and many others. I Want My MTV Ibiza parties will be broadcast on mtv.co.uk, as well as on MTV HD for 27 countries. In addition, two special broadcasts are announced (9pm Saturday, 6th August, and 9pm Saturday, 9th September) at the music channel presentations MTV Music and MTV Dance (MTV UK).
