Alexandroid, a renowned duo from Riga (Andrey Antonets and Alexander Matrosov), has long become a pan-European phenomenon. Their first album was released on the Austrian label Syntactic (1995), and the latest one on the prestigious English Lo Recordings (2004). In 2003, they were awarded the prestigious RFI Music Awards 2003 in the field of electronic music, presented by none other than Laurent Garnier, the French producer and founder of the F-Comm label. They represented Russia at the Forces of Light festival in Helsinki, toured in London, Paris, and Monaco, and worked on soundtracks for videos by artists from Riga and Moscow. The project boasts five albums, each of which has received various honors in the music world. For example, the track 'Olainfarm' from the album 'God's Delusion' remained on the myownmusic.com charts for several months. The original lineup, that is, the duo, has not performed for over two years. Much has changed during the project's existence, so the performance at Club '16 Tonn' may be the last in this form. 'Perhaps, this is the final performance of Alexandroid,' writes Oid from Malta. It's a pity, as the music of Alexandroid is electronic beauty, with quotes from Satie and Debussy, rare vocal refrains, and deep depths. However, it is known that the musicians are planning to work on a new project called 'Autopilots.' Alexandroid 'Autopilots' September 22. Starts at 10:00 pm. Club '16 Tonn'.
