Prepared Environments 2010

On February 3 and 17, the II Annual Festival of Experimental Electronic Music 'Prepared Environments' will take place in the Small Hall of the State Center for Contemporary Art (CCA), organized with the participation of the association LoveLiveElectronic, CCA, and the Goethe Institute. Musicians and performers will demonstrate their works with prepared objects, environments, and constructs. The festival is informally dedicated to John Cage. The main part of the program will include performances exploring various sources of sound and anti-sound, interpreted with modern technologies. Guests will enjoy a performance on one of the largest modular synthesizers in Russia, controlled by the innovative Haken Continuum controller. The festival will feature the enigmatic genius of the global electronic scene, a Mute Records resident, a sampling pioneer, and an iconic figure of the German New Wave - Holger Hiller.
