General Director of FortDance Entertaiment Died

On Friday night in Moscow, on Taras Shevchenko Embankment, after celebrating the birthday of Pet Shop Boys soloist Chris Lowe, the group's manager Dainton Connell, the general director of FortDance Entertaiment, and the co-owner of the famous club 'Roof of the World' Anton Antonov tragically passed away. According to Mr. Antonov's business colleagues, on Thursday evening, the 31-year-old co-owner of 'Roof of the World' was celebrating the birthday of Pet Shop Boys member Chris Lowe in the company of Mr. Connell, nicknamed Bear. Mr. Lowe arrived in Moscow at the invitation of Anton Antonov, whom he had met several years ago in St. Petersburg, Mr. Antonov's hometown. After the party at Sky Lounge restaurant in honor of Mr. Lowe, witnesses claim that Anton Antonov took the Pet Shop Boys' manager, Mr. Connell, to show him his club. 'Roof of the World,' located on Taras Shevchenko Embankment on the roof of the Badayev Brewery, opened in 2006, is one of Moscow's trendiest clubs. Mr. Antonov also headed the company FortDance Entertainment, which has been organizing the open-air FortDance dance festival in Kronstadt for several years. Mr. Antonov's BMW 525 crashed about a hundred meters before reaching 'Roof of the World.' At around 1 a.m. on Taras Shevchenko Embankment, the car, moving at about 150 km/h on a wet road, skidded and crashed into a tree. The impact was so powerful that the BMW literally cut down the tree, then crashed through the cast iron fence of the embankment and fell into the Moskva River. Next to the accident site, workers from Mosgortrans were replacing catenary supports, and with the help of a crane and arriving divers from the Emergencies Ministry, they managed to quickly retrieve the car, but both of its passengers were already deceased.
