"Useful Entertainment" at Club 16 Tons

A series of themed parties "Useful Entertainment" is starting at the Moscow club "16 Tons". The main difference of these events from regular club nights is the knowledge gained, seemingly in a festive and carefree way, through what is called a party.
DJs Panin, Osadchiy, and Andriyesh will precede their sets at "Tons" with lectures about the music they play: using samples, video clips, and their own oratory skills. Kind gurus will entertainingly educate dancing non-knowers - all those wishing to nibble on the vinyl of science are promised excursions into the history of funk, soul, synth-pop, and techno-house.
Club reviewer "Afisha" Armas Shpilev-Vikstrom, in turn, will open "Useful Entertainment" with an introductory lecture about the origins of club life in Moscow and the world, discussing the evolution of electronic music and those who play and listen to it.
In addition to electronic literacy, participants in "Useful Entertainment" will be presented with other knowledge: classic English humor - the best sketches from "Monty Python", as well as a vinyl exhibition of invited DJs.
"Useful Entertainment" will be broadcast live on the internet radio "Faculty" - FMGU.ru in video and audio formats, which can later be downloaded as a podcast.
