Portable DJ Controller Nextbeat from Wacom

Wacom, one of the leaders in the production of graphic tablets, has announced the release of a new portable DJ controller Nextbeat. This is a fully integrated professional DJ system with touch control and some special features for live performance.
Namely: the wireless control unit allows DJs to move freely on the dance floor without feeling dependent on the main device. Wacom developers believe this will make performances more dynamic and energetic.
Nextbeat consists of two digital players, a mixer, an effects unit, and a sampler in a lightweight and compact case.
The official presentation of Wacom Nextbeat will take place at the Winter Music Conference in Miami from March 24-28, 2009, as well as at the Music Fair in Frankfurt from April 1-4, 2009.
In the summer, the device will go on sale in the markets of Europe and Japan. The price of the controller is not yet known, but it will likely be announced soon on the official device website www.nextbeat.net→.
