Farewell to the 'Madchester' Era

On August 20, the funeral of the legendary figure in the English music industry, Tony Wilson, took place. Some of the most important events in the development of European club culture are associated with this man. Tony Wilson was the creator of the famous Manchester club 'The Haçienda', which marked the beginning of a whole musical period known as Madchester. A film called '24 Hour Party People' was made about this era. Thanks to the label he founded, 'Factory Records', the world got to know such bands as Joy Division, New Order, and Happy Mondays. Tony Wilson passed away on August 10 from a heart attack.
