Pulsating Buddha – Christiaan Virant's New Device
Музыкальные зарубежные · 29.09.2009
Gristleism - this is the name of the new musical device created by American engineer Christiaan Virant, who has Dutch roots. He once created the Buddha-machine - a player with a built-in speaker that plays ambient music suitable for relaxation.
The Gristleism invention has the exact opposite purpose. It has 13 loops from the founders of the industrial music style - the English group Throbbing Gristle. Thus, the new member of the Buddha family has a completely different task: to wake its owner with experimental noise.
The device, measuring the size of an average human palm (67 mm x 69 mm x 35 mm), will come in three color options: red, black, gray and will go on sale in mid-November. The device is fully portable, runs on two AA batteries, and has several switches for volume, loop selection, and pitch. It will be available for purchase on the Throbbing Gristle website for £25.
