Raveolution: Sun of the Night. Revival of Drum & Bass

The promotional group The Out Set presents the first international festival Raveolution: Sun of the Night and its headliners - stars of the European drum & bass movement Bad Company UK and Im Cyber. Drum & Bass has been undeservedly neglected by the media. Meanwhile, in the mid-90s, D`n`B was one of the most popular styles of dance music, including in Russia. Drum & Bass came to our country at the same time as techno, developed very successfully, but then, due to various circumstances, began to be perceived by the public as an underground phenomenon. For ten years d&b seemed to “not exist”, only to resurface today; to appear as a new, strong, fully formed movement with its own ideology, its own idols and an army of loyal fans.\nThe modern Moscow D`n`B movement is an established community with a unique communication system, united and easy-going; ready to gather for a party in the most extravagant corners of Moscow at the first call from the promoter. Today, regular D`n`B parties easily gather an audience of two to three thousand people. \nThe Raveolution festival brings the D&B movement out of the underground. The organizers of the festival set themselves the goals of revealing to the general public the incredible potential of this movement, presenting underground heroes to the general public, and lighting a new sun on the horizon of Moscow nightlife. \nThe first event of the Raveolution series, the twelve-hour Sun of the Night festival, will take place on Saturday, April 29 at the Gaudi Arena. It will feature the stars of Russian drum & bass, DJs Gvozd, Profit, X-Pander, as well as European headliners - the cult British duo Bad Company UK and the queen of Czech d&b Im Cyber. In the summer of 2006, the organizers of this festival, the promotion group The Out Set, are planning to hold an open-air event of many thousands with the participation of the luminaries of this rapidly growing popular genre. \nBad Company UK - an association of famous British producers; veterans of the drum&bass style. The commercial success of Bad Company UK allowed Jason and Michael to launch their own record label, BC Presents, which paved the way for a whole galaxy of young British d&b artists - Body & Soul, The Upbeat, State Of Mind, Chase & Status and many others. At the same time, Maldini and Vegas continue to record their own compositions in collaboration with such famous drum & bass performers as Teebee (Facing The Sun) and Nosia (Meditation). \nIm Cyber \u200b\u200bis the queen of Czech drum&bass, a resident of the In Da Bush parties at the most popular Prague club Roxy. Her impeccable musical taste and unique mixing technique quickly allowed her to become a real star of the Prague club scene, and soon Im Cyber \u200b\u200bwas already the headliner of large-scale d&b festivals in Eastern Europe.
